Executive Team
STEVEN L. ROGERS
Mr. Rogers is the President and CEO of DEI, and is responsible for the overall management and productivity of the company.
Mr. Rogers’ experience includes twenty four years with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), completing his career as the Staff Sergeant in charge of the "O" Division Technological Crime Unit. He has conducted digital forensics examinations or supervised the analysis of digital evidence in thousands of cases for a large number of criminal and civil matters. The range of his experience since 1995 includes intellectual property protection, bankruptcy and insolvency, mergers and acquisitions, trademark and copyright investigations, counterfeit and fraud. Mr. Rogers has written many affidavits, participated in the execution of many search warrants and civil search orders, given expert evidence in criminal prosecutions, and testified at a number of civil proceedings. Mr. Rogers is an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), an A+ Certified Professional, and a Certified Novell Administrator.
WAYNE DONEY
Mr. Doney is the Manager of Computer Forensics and Electronic Discovery Services for DEI. Mr. Doney's expertise extends through network architecture and topology, backup solutions, all forms of computing hardware and software including file servers, email servers, routers, gateways and all client workstations, as well as extensive experience with assisting with the exeuction of Anton Piller orders and the resulting analysis of computer evidence. Mr. Doney has lectured extensively on Microsoft products and has delivered training sessions on computer forensic software. Mr. Doney's soft spoken personality enables him to interact well with all parties to a litigation. He brings with him many certifications including industry standard A+ Certified Professional, Network Plus and Linux Plus, as well as Microsoft, Novell and Cisco certifications.
JAMES KIRK
Mr. Kirk brings a wealth of knowledge to DEI's Intergrated Case Management (ICM™) database initiative as the lead developer and programmer. Mr. Kirk specializes in database administration, customization, training, and support of the ICM™ utility. Mr. Kirk implements and monitors e-discovery processes and procedures, and ensures reliable and secure remote connectivity for our clients. He maintains DEI's in-house network and customizes utilities for unique investigational requirements. Mr. Kirk co-ordinates e-discovery training services for our clients, and ensures that all their unique requirements are met in a timely manner. Mr. Kirk brings with him several industry standard certifications and many Microsoft certifications that make him a valuable member of the DEI team.
DAN CABAN
Mr. Caban is DEI's Manager of Intellectual Property Protection Services. Mr. Caban's extensive internet investigation skills are unique to the industry. Servicing DEI's clients with auction monitoring, data mining, intelligence gathering, real-time updates, and evidence preservation are just a few of Mr. Caban's skills. Through the use of our proprietary Integrated Case Management™ database Mr. Caban is able to collect, categorize, analyze, and report on our clients' potential and real internet threats.
